Challenge

Create a modern brand position and brand identity for the network that appeals to avid Smithsonian fans as well as broader viewing audiences.

Solution

Develop a strong, forward-looking positioning. Coalesce the positioning into memorable brand messaging. Activate the brand with a bright, sophisticated visual system and accessible brand voice that attracts a younger, more diverse viewer. We created a smart, contemporary, and colorful brand that allows the content to shine. The updated positioning influenced all aspects of the network, from show development to social content. It led to greater brand awareness and significant subscriber growth.
